"Free entry for Miami Beach residents with ID." That line is printed under Roda de Samba with Soul Samba on the Miami Beach Bandshell's November calendar, right above a "Buy Tickets" button. The full listing spells out the terms: residents get in free, and ID is checked at the door.
That one line sums up November in North Beach. The two stages that define the neighborhood after dark are the Bandshell at 7275 Collins Ave. and Normandy Fountain at 7802 Rue Vendome. Between them they have three nights in November that cost nothing for someone with a Miami Beach address. Two of those nights carry perks that only kick in when you show proof of residency. A free city trolley links the two stages, so you never need the car.
The Month at a Glance
The Bandshell's November schedule is mostly ticketed. It opens with O Cinema's Rocky Horror Picture Show and Day of the Dead screening on Nov. 1. Dance NOW!'s Fall For Dance NOW! follows on Nov. 8, and a Qawwali night with The Saami Brothers lands on Nov. 15. Interspersed with those paid shows are the free nights, and some of them are set up to favor residents.
| Date | Event | Venue | Cost for Miami Beach residents | Cost for everyone else |

| Sat., Nov. 7, 6–10 p.m. | LOVEisLOVE Miami Hip Hop Block Party | Normandy Fountain | Free with RSVP | Free with RSVP |
| Sat., Nov. 7, show 8 p.m. | Roda de Samba with Soul Samba | Bandshell | Free entry with ID | Ticketed |
| Thu., Nov. 19, 7:30 p.m. | North Beach Social: Abstract Citizen | Bandshell | Free with RSVP | Free with RSVP |
| Fri., Nov. 27, 5–9 p.m. | Thanksgiving Roller Disco | Bandshell | Free admission, free skate rental | Free admission, $10 skate rental |
Rhythm Foundation, which presents the three Bandshell nights, has managed the venue since the City awarded it the contract in 2015, and its schedule mixes free community events with ticketed shows. The Normandy Fountain block party is organized separately by Sybarite. At the Bandshell, the resident perks are set event by event. There's no blanket discount at the door, so they're easy to miss unless you open each listing.
November 7 Puts Both Stages to Work on One Night
The first Saturday of November is the only night when both North Beach stages are programmed at the same time.
At Normandy Fountain, Sybarite is holding its fourth annual LOVEisLOVE Miami Hip Hop Block Party from 6 to 10 p.m. DJ Rich Medina of Dante's HiFi is curating, and the city's listing promises DJs, MCs, a dance battle, graffiti artists and vendors, with support from the Museum of Graffiti. Entry is free with RSVP.
Over at the Bandshell, Soul Samba sets up for what the listing calls a backyard party in the heart of Rio. The seven-member band plays classic samba seated around a giant table in the middle of the stage, after an opening set by Marcello Bentine. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the band starts at 8. Entry is free for Miami Beach residents only, with ID checked at the door.
One way to fit in both:
- 6 p.m. The block party opens at Normandy Fountain while it's still light out.
- 7 p.m. Bandshell doors open for the samba night. The listings don't say how big the resident turnout will be, so arriving early guarantees a spot.
- 8 p.m. Soul Samba starts at the Bandshell.
- 10 p.m. The block party wraps on Rue Vendome.
Hop on the North Beach Loop trolley to get between them, or walk up from Collins, and keep your ID handy for the Bandshell door.
November 19: Where the Culture Crawl Lands in North Beach
Culture Crawl came back on Oct. 15 for its 2026–27 season. It runs every third Thursday through July 2027, with free admission from 6 to 9 p.m. and branded trolleys between venues. The city's season announcement gave North Beach a real role on opening night, with "Strings and Sunset" at Normandy Fountain and Les Greene & The Swayzees at the Bandshell.
November's headline listing is in South Beach. Miami Beach Culture Crawl: The Other Rome is at The Wolfsonian–FIU, 1001 Washington Ave. At 7 p.m., Consul General Michele Mistò and architectural historian Jean-François Lejeune hold a conversation.
North Beach's share of the night is North Beach Social, a free third-Thursday music series that Rhythm Foundation presents with the City of Miami Beach as part of the Crawl. On Nov. 19 the series brings Abstract Citizen, with Black Nimbus opening. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30. It's all ages and free with RSVP. The night has more going on than the stage, too. The listing includes Nom Nom & Co Japanese Snacks, Energy in Poetry, Raw Figs Figure Drawing and a photo tent.
If you want to see both ends of the Crawl, the official route map has a North Beach stop at 79th Street and Rue Versailles and marks a Collins Express transfer to the Crawl trolley. The map doesn't include an evening timetable, so plan around the 6 p.m. start at The Wolfsonian and the 7:30 p.m. downbeat at the Bandshell, not around specific trolley departures.
November 27: The Perk That Pays Off for Families
The day after Thanksgiving, the Bandshell turns into a roller rink for the Thanksgiving Roller Disco from 5 to 9 p.m. Admission is free, all ages and skill levels are welcome, and non-skaters can watch from the deck. Lotusoph and Angie Antonela are on the decks, and All Skates Go To Heaven are the skate hosts.
This is where the resident perk saves real money. Onsite skate rental is free for Miami Beach residents and $10 for non-residents. If you're hosting a group of four out-of-town relatives for the holiday weekend, they'd pay $40 in rentals while you skate for free. That's also a good reason to bring the household's own skates, or a resident who can vouch for the address. You still need to RSVP even though the night is free.
The Trolley Connects Both Stages
The North Beach Loop runs seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., about every 20 minutes. Its stops include Collins Avenue at 72nd, 76th and 77th Streets, which put you close to the Bandshell, and Normandy Drive at Rue Versailles, Rue Notre Dame and Rue Bordeaux, which serve the Normandy Isles side. The 11 p.m. cutoff covers the end of every free night on this list. The block party ends at 10 p.m. and the roller disco at 9.
If you'd rather drive, the Bandshell's FAQ points to the municipal lot across the street at 73rd Street and Collins Avenue.
Dinner on the Normandy Side
The neighborhood's dining picture may change before November is out. Miami New Times put Luca Trattoria at 933 Normandy Dr. on its list of the season's most anticipated openings, slated for this fall. Check the restaurant's own channels for an opening date before you plan a pre-show dinner around it. 933 Normandy Dr. is on the same street the trolley runs down on its way through Normandy Isles.
Our team keeps track of these block-by-block details because they help explain what a North Beach address offers day to day. That includes resident perks like free entry and free skate rental.
